We always enjoy a bit of experimentation with our mini studio projector. But Jim Sanborn‘s “The Topographic Projections and Implied Geometries Series” takes playing with light to a whole different level. They are long exposures photographs of enormous light projections. Lovely work! more

gone with the wind

Okay, so it’s windy. Schools and offices are closed. Parties are cancelled. Things are falling and people may be hurt but they’ve closed all the doctors surgeries. And the banks, they are also closed. Perhaps this is because all the money has blown away? more

lost moleskin notebook

I just lost my second Moleskin notebook in a week. Gutted. It’s one of our most valuable tools at O Street, and it’s amazing how much of our work is created on its girded pages. Above is a sketch (scribbled on the train to Edinburgh) of the toilet icons we devised for the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, and below is how they ended up looking in the final signage system.
