In the 1960s, Walthamstow School of Art produced a generation of experimental, radical artists.
Create London curated an exploration of this period of creativity which encompassed an exhibition, summer school, film screenings, and workshops. O Street designed an identity which served as a colourful vehicle to carry the artwork.
We implemented a flexible layout and typographic system to present the diverse programme to the public.
These applications were rolled out across London via posters, Underground billboards, and social media.
The exhibition itself was an extension of the visual identity into physical space. Bright colour and clear typography encouraged movement and interaction.
The exhibition itself got its name from this amazing artist’s quote: “There are a couple ways to avoid death. One of them is to be magnificent.”
