Making Places is a platform to create and fund projects that will repurpose public spaces in Waltham Forest, London.
Our team designed a colourful brand built from a map of the borough to serve as Making Place’s visual identity. It’s bold, recognisable and flexible.
The Waltham Forest community is vibrant and engaged. By identifying currently under-utilised public spaces and opening them up to creative interventions, the local council has brought their people into the fold.
One of the most important aspects for us to tackle was a fully-integrated web build. The result is a branded, responsive site that communicates the project’s goals and facilitates participation.
There have been overwhelming responses to the creative ‘open calls’. Making Places is well on its way to fulfilling its goal of “creating places which are brighter, safer and where residents and visitors enjoy spending time”.
