the story of ‘o’

We will be producing four quarterlies a year and each issue features a specially commissioned artwork based on the letter o. First off is Edwin Pickstone with this stunning 3 colour letterpress print (available to buy here). Edwin has also written a great article on the history of the letter o.

scottish national portrait gallery

O Street has developed a new identity for the Scottish National Portrait Gallery to coincide with the major refurbishment of its landmark building in Edinburgh’s city centre. Focusing on the word ‘Portrait’ the mark can change its character to reflect the wide range of both the art and colourful personalities that the collection presents. It will constantly evolve to stay relevant to the exploration into Scotland’s history, and national identity.

futureperfect identity

A company based in the Philippines, futureperfect are experts in improving English and communication skills across all aspects of a business. They have recently expanded, opening a new Hong Kong office to serve an increasingly international client list and needed an identity to match the international outlook.

We focussed on an international symbol of communication and speech–the speech bubble–to create a mark that will be understood in most cultures. We also developed a brand pattern and kit of parts so that they can apply their brand quickly without the need for lots of imagery.
